Grant Career Center Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New Metal Fabrication and Allied Health Labs
BETHEL, OHIO — Grant Career Center proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Metal Fabrication Lab and newly renovated Allied Health Lab on April 2, marking a transformational investment in the future of career technical education.
The $9.8 million construction project was made possible through the support of the State of Ohio, with $8.5 million funded through a Career Technical Education (CTE) Construction Grant. The project reflects a strong commitment to expanding opportunities for students while meeting the workforce needs of the region.
In addition to the construction, both labs are equipped with industry-standard technology and equipment funded through a $2.4 million CTE Equipment Grant, also provided by the State of Ohio—ensuring students train with the same tools used in today’s workforce.

The new Metal Fabrication Lab provides expanded space and advanced equipment to support hands-on learning in welding, machining, and fabrication—preparing students for high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing.
The renovated Allied Health Lab now features modern, realistic clinical environments where students can develop skills in patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare technology.
During the ceremony, Superintendent Mike Parry highlighted the deeper impact of the investment:
