Grant Career Center recently held the Second Quarter Attendance and Awards Assembly where students were recognized for achievements during the second quarter. Students received Perfect Attendance Awards and Honor Roll Certificates for their efforts. The Top Performers in each program were also announced for the second quarter.
Instructors select Top Performers each quarter by using varying objectives ranging from grades, business and industry readiness, special projects, or improvements. Students are recognized for their efforts with a special certificate for their career passport, and a gift card or payment of fees.
Students announced as Top Performers for the Second Quarter include: Allied Health Science, Tabitha Jackson and Erin McKee; Auto Collision, Nikita Branam and Cody Hess; Automotive Service Technology, Matthew Pavia and Jesse Wilhoit; Biotechnology, Kyle Barrett and Steven Glenn; Carpentry, Zach Jervis and Jacob Zieger; CBI, Brandon Smith; Cosmetology, Tarah Igo and Allie Rodriguez; Criminal Justice, Erik Anderson and Kasey Cotes; Culinary Arts, Kirsten Savage and Courtney Jervis; Engineering Design, Steven Squires and Tyler Crumpton; Equine Science, Lexi Bedford; Horticulture, Jim Weinel; Information Technology, Ethen McMellan; Medical Information Tech, Caitlyn Wilburn and Seaira Blake; Metal Fabrication, Ricky Vandegrift and Michael Klinker; The Teacher Academy, Maren Hance and Shyann Webb; Veterinary Science, Chelsey Bowling.
