Grant staff members are gearing up for the Fourth Annual Eighth Grade Summer Career Experience. Eighth and ninth graders have been recruited to spend two days enrolled in a hands-on summer experience where they will explore career options in one of six career clusters. Students can choose from the Medical Career Cluster, the Construction Career Cluster, the Service Career Cluster, the Animal and Law Enforcement Cluster, the Transportation Cluster or the Engineering and Robotics Cluster.
Instructors have created two fun-filled days that will teach students basic skills and give them insights into career training programs at Grant. Students will have the opportunity to sauté and bake, learn basic forensics, build a bird feeder, learn medical terminology, race cars, give natural facials, complete basic wiring projects, and work with animals in our Animal Science Facility. The days will be full of exciting activities that will stimulate thoughts about their futures and give them great projects to share with families and friends.
