Each month, teachers and staff at Grant Career Center have the opportunity to nominate a student to be recognized as the Student of the Month. Teachers have nominated students for showing extra effort, academic success, changes in attitude and generally, just being a great person to have in their class. Our September Students of the Month include Courtney Riggs, a Felicity-Franklin junior from Engineering Design who shows great leadership skills and bravery as the only girl in the junior Engineering Design Program! Pearce Williford, a Williamsburg senior enrolled in Automotive Service Technology was selected because he was the most improved Team Leader in the class and maintains a straight A average and perfect attendance while participating in home school athletics. Cody Hess, a New Richmond junior in the Auto Collision program was nominated by instructor Ric Kruse because he works hard and does everything that is asked of him with a polite and respectful attitude. English Teacher Kathy Newman nominated Meagan Crawford, a Bethel-Tate senior in the Cooperative Education program because Meagan has a desire to learn and excels beyond teacher expectations. The students received a Certificate of Achievement for their passport and a delicious lunch in the Sports Gallery Restaurant. Congratulations!
