Upcoming ACT college placement test information.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to inform you that all junior students are required by the Ohio Department of Education to take the ACT college placement test. This test has very specific guidelines for administration and due to this fact Grant Career Center will need all school staff to meet the requirements. This test is being administered on two different dates at Grant Career Center to the junior class. Juniors from Bethel, New Richmond, Amelia, Batavia, Western Brown and CNE will be taking the test on March 21st. Juniors from Williamsburg and Felicity will take the test on April 19th. Grant Career Center will be providing breakfast and lunch to the students on the testing dates free of charge.

Since all staff will need to help administer the test, the students that are not testing that day will be placed on an alternative educational assignment and not attend school. The alternative assignment will be given by the program teacher. Students will complete the assignment and return it to the program teacher in order to receive credit for that day they are not at school. Therefore, seniors will be on alternative assignments on both days and juniors will have to complete an alternative assignment for the day they are not testing.

March 21st – ACT Testing Day -No School for all Seniors and Williamsburg and Felicity Juniors

April 19th – ACT Testing Day - No School for all Seniors and Bethel, New Richmond, Amelia, Batavia, CNE and Western Brown Juniors

Students must complete their alternative assignments on the days they are not attending Grant.
