PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN (CPT)

Phlebotomy technicians draw blood for testing in hospitals, clinical labs, doctor's offices, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. They may also explain the procedure to the patient, or reassure them if adverse reactions occur. Students will receive training with a venipuncture arm, as well as practical, live training before testing for CPT certification through the NHA (National Heathcareer Association).

Program Length: 120 hours
Cost: $1,400. Payment options may be available.

STNA (NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM/NATP)

STNAs are in high demand! These employees may work in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in a client's home, in addition to other medical environments. They often work under the direction of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses.

STNAs perform such duties as:bathing patients, changing linens and gowns, helping with personal and bathroom needs, and assisting a patient with eating and drinking when needed. They also may help with transporting patients and gait instability, in addition to observing their overall well-being. Other duties may include taking, recording, and monitoring patient vital signs, and assisting nurses with wound cleaning and dressings. STNAs are not permitted to dispense medication or perform medical procedures.

EKG TECHNICIAN (CET) 

EKG technicians work in hospital and clinical settings to provide direct patient care. Often working in the Cardiology Department, they work alongside doctors and technicians to perform electrocardiogram (EKG) testing using EKG machines to record a patient's heart activity. They monitor the machine and attach electrodes to a patient's chest, arms and legs, and then note the results of the test. They may also ask about a patient's medical history, or assist a doctor or technician during certain medical procedures. Students will be given the chance to become certified through the NHA (National Healthcareer Association) at the end of the class.

Program Length: 72 hours
Cost :$1,100. Payment options may be available.

Medical Assisting - (Certified Medical Asst) 300 HOURS

The Clinical Medical Assisting program is designed to prepare students to function as professionals in multiple healthcare settings. Medical assistants with a clinical background perform various clinical tasks including assisting with the administration of medications and with minor procedures, performing an EKG electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and other related tasks. Job opportunities are prevalent with physician’s offices, clinics, chiropractor’s offices, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

Program Length: 140 hours classroom/160 clincial hours  
Cost: $2800.  Payment options are available.

*The following are requirements for ALL healthcare and medical programs listed above (unless otherwise noted):


  • High School Diploma or GED except for STNA, EKG and Phlebotomy - must be at least 17. Adult Diploma students are exempt from this requirement.
  • Flu vaccination
  • Two-step TB test (varies by clinical site)
  • Completion of online registration form.
  • A $200 deposit (non-refundable) or proof of funding from 3rd-party source in order to take WorkKeys.
  • Successful passage of WorkKeys Assessments in Workplace Documents, Graphic Literacy, and Applied Math 
  • Background Check-(Medical Assisting Only)
