Overview

Construction Technologies program is NCCER accredited, and provides training in the manipulative skills 

necessary to obtain employment in construction/framing and finishing occupations.Credentials earned through the NCCER curriculum allow students to receive college and industry credits. Students receive in-depth, “on-the-job” experience through a two-year apprentice training program. Instruction includes all types of wood and metal framing construction; a wide variety of exterior finishing and trim installation; interior trim and finishing; cabinet installation; and equipment care and maintenance.

In addition to being trained as entry-level construction field workers, Grant Career Center students have the opportunity to earn up to 24 credit hours from Hocking College or Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. If students continue their education at Hocking College or Cincinnati State, they can continue their carpentry studies and receive an Associate Degree of Technical Studies in Carpentry/Construction Management.
