Medical offices are looking for applicants with extensive knowledge of software applications. Today, administrative assistants perform fewer clerical tasks and are increasingly taking on the roles of information and communication managers.
The Medical Information Tech program provides extensive training in the up-to-date methods of performing medical office tasks. This program is designed for the student who plans to work as an administrative assistant in a private physician’s office, single- or multi- specialty clinic, dental office, research center, medical laboratory, nursing home or hospital setting. In addition to being trained as entry-level medical office worker, Grant Career Center students have the opportunity to earn college credit from the University of Cincinnati, Clermont College.
