The Veterinary Science program is designed to give you a head start towards a career in the Veterinary field. Veterinary Science students will handle and provide care for a variety of animals on a daily basis. The basic hands-on experience will give students comfort and confidence around all animals. Students will specialize in four different courses while enrolled in the Veterinary Science program covering animal nutrition, health and reproduction, animal science and technology, small animal science and all aspects of veterinary science. In the lab setting, students will learn to restrain an animal, perform a physical exam, draw samples, administer injections and create preventative health management plans. Students will study animal behavior, grooming techniques and training practices.
The Veterinary Science program will be housed in the new Animal Science Facility at Grant Career Center.
