Overview

The Cooperative Education program is designed for students working in the business world. It emphasizes entry-level employment, transition from school to work, classroom instruction, and on-the-job training. Students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. They learn to work and interact as a team. Job sites are chosen that provide quality instruction for students and their individual occupation career paths. The student will attend school one-half day and work one-half day (15-25 hours per week). Goals of the program include:

  • Progressive jobs that provide opportunities for students to develop and evaluate a broad set of occupational competencies.
